Faiz, Abu Dis 2022

(First photo) Faiz sits in front of the 26ft concrete Apartheid Wall with his son and his neighbor in January 2004. Faiz had a store here (across from the Wall). After the continued construction of the Separation Wall fragmented Abu Dis from Jerusalem, his store was closed and his neighbor could no longer stop by to visit and shop and talk and see his son grow. (Second photo) Faiz sits in front of the Wall with his three grandchildren in the same area as he sat with his son 18 years earlier.
