(First photo) Omar stands with his young son in front of the Israel bypass road that was built directly in front of his house for the Israeli army to patrol the area. He has no access to this road. The Israeli authorities then connected the road via a tunnel with a gate along the path of the Apartheid Wall. Omar only recently gained access to a clicker to move in and out of the gate system, the only entry into his home. (Second photo) Because Omar would not sell his land for the site of the Wall the Israeli authorities have made his life unbearable, trapping the family in with the gate system, and defining his house a closed military zone, which means no one is allowed to visit the family without risk of arrest.
